The guard consists of rifles and flags and has a very old school style. We are looking for someone with a more modern color guard style who can integrate this style with what we already use. </p> <p>The guard rehearses on Wednesday nights at 7pm and most of our football games are on Friday nights. We also rehearse as a full band on Saturdays. This is a non-competitive band, so there is only one band festival and one parade all year. We also have a 2 week band camp. (3 days/week, double sessions.)</p> <p>60+ credits required. Guard teaching experience a plus but not a requirement. Drum corps or advanced college color guard experience preferable. Also realize that this year will be a bit of a transition as we try to start teaching an old guard some new tricks. </p> <p>Our staff includes a director, 2 assistant directors, 1 color guard advisor (at the moment,) 1 drum major coach and a volunteer assistant.
